Hey remember that Prince of Persia Contest?... well this was supposed to be my entry. i had a MASSIVE Facepalm moment when i had nearly finished it and realized i was already over the hand in date for it!!! i was less than well unhappy about that, having worked aaaages on it...also such a big file!T_T

but any way i finally have the time to post this up! I also learnt a heeeeeeap of stuff about photoshop working on this!!!

This isn't my new style or anything, i was trying to do that more painterly that the new game has but failed, doing a semi-realisticy style.:( i fail oh well... but i like how it turned out anyhow!^^:) i've been having a go at realistic style digipainting for my schoolwork and this helped a whole lot!!!!
OMG!!!i nearly got killed by the detail in this!!!!1!one!!1!! i am never doing fancy patterned hilts like this ever again!!!!!

Dude, this is...holy hell! This is insane! How in the hell did you get the time and patience to do this? This is crazy! Absolutely crazy! I mean, geeze, look at it! The detail, man, the detail! :ohnoes: Holy crap!

This is beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! I just can't stop looking at it! I don't know what's my favorite part--the rendering, the Prince's face, Elika's lovely hair, the refelction of the monster in the sword, not to mention the hilt...it's just...just wow! The detail on this piece is amazing! I mean, you drew absolutely everything--the texture on his cape, the designs on the hilt and Elika's top, hell, his beard stubble.

Are you a god? :ohnoes:

I love this. I love this, I love this, I love this. Hell, I don't care if that contest is over, I say send it to Ubisoft! I know if I were them I would blow this up and hang it on my wall! This is freaking SWEET!!!!

Heh, either way, amazing job :D It looks like you put a LOT into this piece, and it came out more than beautiful! Well done!

um thanx^^; but it has loads of lines and junk that you don't find in realistic work. take his eyes for example.

God! That is such a shame cause you could have done really well with this piece - it's incredible! The detail on the sword's hilt and the lighting...Your work is awesome! And don;t you worry about you "failing" cause this is anything but a fail! 10/10, Instant :+fav:! ^^
